Let’s set the stage for Perfectionism: The Perfect Crime

Imagine the scene – you have been asked to meet Sherlock Holmes in the Library. He paces before you. Clearly outlining the terrible crime which has been committed – self-sabotage. The victims? Joy, Playfulness, Wisdom, Self-Esteem, Contentment, Skills and Abilities. The perpetrator of this crime? YOU.

Yes, YOU! The one who has strived and fought to do things perfectly, to be perfect. The reason for this is quite simple – you require acceptance, love, success, adoration and accolades.

There’s only one problem. Even when you do succeed, you beat yourself up for not doing or being ‘better’. Sound familiar?

Perfectionists have a ‘hamster wheel’ mindset. They believe their perfect performance, talents and intelligence will attract love into their life. They are the ‘doers’, the strivers, the ones who take on too much so others will be impressed with their busy schedules.

Unfortunately, the hamster wheel of failing to meet their own invisible standards means they continue until they drop from exhaustion. Each standard acts like an energetic vampire sucking and draining you dry energetically. The Perfectionist keeps raising the bar because THIS time, they will do/be/create the perfect ‘it’.

It’s time to get off the hamster wheel and find the source of loving acceptance WITHIN yourself. Rather than worrying about having the perfect life, how about considering the creation of an amazing, adventurous and FUN life instead?

Let’s clear the energy around “Perfectionism: The Perfect Crime.”

It’s a pleasure today to share with you information about the beautiful crystal called Kunzite and the Tarot Card – Four of Cups.

Intuitive Development Tip ~ Know your PsyIQ ~ Clairalience means clear smelling – (base chakra) – Smells activate so much knowing within our bodies – it helps us fight or flight! Someone who is Clairalient is able to smell odours without a physical source. Have you ever noticed smelling something that isn’t there? When my deceased aunt comes to visit, I smell her specific brand of Menthol cigarettes; my father smells like a specific tree.

Exercise to develop your clairalience ~ Sitting in your garden, cooking dinner, standing at the train station. Ask your intuition to receive any messages with clarity and then breathe through your nose. What do you smell? What memories and associations are triggered for you? Is there a smell that doesn’t belong? This is a message!

Crystals with Rosie

Kunzite is our crystal for today. Kunzite is a relatively new addition to crystal collections. Discovered 120 years ago, this crystal may be found in pink, lilac, green, yellow or white. It may also be transparent or opaque. It is known as the Woman’s Stone, Balance Stone and Stone of Emotional Healing. With strong protective and truth-keeping energies, Kunzite helps you connect with Divine Energy.

Named for the mineralogist and jeweller George Frederick Kunz who first catalogued it in 1902. This pink stone has been found in a number of locations including the USA, Brazil, Madagascar, Myanmar, Australia, Pakistan and Afghanistan. This is a variety of Spodumene. The green and yellow-green Kunzite stones are called Hiddenite.

Genuine Kunzite is quite pale in colour, with natural darker shades being higher in value. There are some heat-enhanced varieties on the market. All Kunzite is prone to fading in direct sunlight.

Kunzite is a Gift of Love from the Universe. Wear kunzite to be blessed with good fortune. Its soft pastel colours symbolize purity. It can also be a sign of new life and is sometimes regarded as a symbol for pregnancy.

Metaphysical Properties

As the Woman’s Stone, Kunzite is beneficial for helping Mothers (human or animal) to connect with their offspring.

As the Balance Stone, Kunzite (especially when placed directly on the body) balances the chakras easily and gently.

As the Stone of Emotions, Kunzite helps those who have difficulty functioning in their reality. With its high lithium content, it alleviates depression and anxiety. It helps those who are suffering from loss, grief, suffering or heartbreak. In particular, it is beneficial for restoring relationships on all levels. For empaths or those who are requiring detachment, Kunzite provides an emotional buffer to give your emotions ease.

As a travel crystal, Kunzite soothes road rage and calms difficult passengers in your vehicle.

Discover the Tarot – Four of Cups

Our tarot card is the fourth card of the Cups Suit – the Four of Cups. All the Cup cards represent the element of WATER. This is your emotional flow ~ love, empathy, compassion.

What’s the first thing you notice when you look at this card? Where is your eye drawn? Make a note of your observation and ask: What does this mean to you? Where do you see this in your everyday life?

Elemental Understanding

All the cup cards represent the element of WATER. This is your emotional engagement (or entanglement). As a motivational card, it reminds us that we are filled with emotion. These songs speak to me of where we are choosing to be rigid in our life. With the Full Moon in Taurus at the end of the week, many of us will be feeling La Luna’s pull over the next few days. Emotions will be heightened and you may be feeling as if you are swimming in the crap of yourself and of others!

This energy appears to be purposeful in its design ~ it’s calling for personal action. Would you choose to wallow in the crap or create a new breathing space where you are able to create the new energy you require.

Pink Tourmaline

Pink Tourmaline (also known as Rubellite) is a relatively rare form of Tourmaline. Tourmaline’s wide range of colours have intrigued people for centuries. In ancient Egypt, legend had it that tourmaline acquired its many colours by travelling along a rainbow in a journey from the earth to the sun. Other civilizations believed tourmaline could help one become more artistic and aesthetically inclined. A stone of the Heart, it works beautifully for protection and balance.

We have explored Tourmaline itself.. but this beautiful pink form of Tourmaline is truly breathtaking. With a similar log-like formation, Pink Tourmaline may be purchased rough or tumbled. Due to its availability, it is usually mixed with another form of crystal or rock. The photographs I’m showing you today, are of a piece here at the Studio. Beautiful pink striations mixed with Quartz Crystal. The pink can be from a candy pink through to a pastel barely-there pink.

Metaphysical Properties

Tourmaline, as a crystal group, is a natural seeker, energising and protector. One crystal worker actually refers to Pink Tourmaline as The Guard Dog. You may work with this crystal for any healing or empowering purpose designed to align, expand and re-energise. They enhance the natural journey and remind you that you are both student and teacher all in one.

Pink tourmaline focuses and amplifies the Universal Life Force and the energy required to accomplish goals. They provide energy for our efforts to gain what we seek, enhance our lives, protect what we value and defend us from undesirable elements.

Tourmaline is a shamanic stone, providing protection during ritual work. It has been used by many different cultures across the world, including the Australian Indigenous people.

Pink tourmaline therefore brings cognitive awareness and experience of Universal Love. To do so, it cleanses the mind, body and soul through the heart chakra. It infuses love and a rememberance of connection. Through this ability, it stimulates your receptivity to healing energy and the Wisdom of Spirit.

If you, or a person you are working with, has difficulty accessing their Life Purpose or Purpose of Service, Pink Tourmaline has the ability to clear issues, develop awareness and strengthen trust in the ways of Spirit.

Earth Healing

For healing grids and earth healing purposes, Pink Tourmaline can be considered as a Crystal Aphrodisiac. It strengthens love. However, the main purpose of Pink Tourmaline in earth or even Karmic healing is its ability to return unbalanced energy back to the sender – however it is not in its original form, it is sent back transformed, reversesed, enlightened as a beneficial energy of change. Think of it as putting up the “Talk to the hand” energy – sending it back, lighter, brighter and stronger so the sender feels the desire to change their actions, thoughts and words. Pretty powerful stuff!

When used in grids and for earth healing, Pink Tourmaline reminds the Elemental Energy of its true alignment and purpose. It brings fertility and abundance naturally into balance – Just like the energy of Mother Earth herself.

Speaking of Mother Energy, during my research I discovered Pink Tourmaline aligns with the pre-Islamic Arabian goddess – Al-Uzza. She is the ruler of fertility and wild beasts. Al-Uzza also has power over astrology and the changing of the seasons because she was believed to be the morning and evening star, Venus. As Goddess of the Sea she is the guardian of fish and dolphins. She also was the protector of fishermen and sea travellers. Sounds like Aphrodite and Venus, yes?

Magickal Intention

This chant may be repreated to blend and utilise the energy of Pink Tourmaline. “Balancing Pink Tourmaline, Clearing blockages seen and unseen.”

In summary, Pink Tourmaline is beneficial for:

· Heart and Base Chakra healing
· healing holes in the aura caused by abuse, grief and loss
· balancing emotions from the Higher Heart Chakra
· creating a loving foundation within relationships, projects and businesses
· remembering your connection with The Divine
· removing self-sabotaging patterns of behaviour
